RDSO actively participated in the 9th India Industrial Fair – 2025 organized by Laghu Udyog Bharati at Rajkot, Gujarat. During this event, a special Vendor Meet Session with the involvement of industry leaders and representatives was organised by RDSO on 4th February to increase the vendor base of RDSO. Shri Sanjay Kumar Sharma, Executive Director, Quality Assurance/Mech./Mumbai gave detailed presentation in this meet, through which he informed the various industry partners, vendors and industry representatives about the procurement process of Indian Railways and introduced them to the online portal ‘UVAM’ created for vendor registration and approval. He also provided complete information about the registration process for new vendors by RDSO and resolved the queries of all the industry representatives and vendors present there.
Shri Pawan Kumar Sharma, Executive Director/Quality Assurance/S&T from RDSO also briefed about the online vendor registration and approval process in a vendor interaction session that was organized during the seminar on 3rd February with the objective to increase the vendor base.
These vendor interaction sessions were one of the biggest vendor meets and well attended by the participants. Rajkot is a hub of foundries in India and majority of participants were from foundry and engineering industries. It is positively expected, that after these talks and interactive sessions, the vendor base of RDSO will increase further and Indian Railways will get new and better sources and opportunities for procurement of products.
